Art for Health Practitioner

My background

I initially trained as a  Pharmacist and worked for many years in the natural medicines  industry.  In recent years I have been developing my artistic / therapeutic  experience qualifying as an Anthroposophic Health Practitioner (Visual Arts) from the Hibernia college in Stroud.   I moved to Scotland in 2006.

My qualification and experience

Training for 5 years, I have gained a City and Guilds “Membership Award in Art Therapy”.  I have supervised experience in various fields including:

  • working with the elderly
  • children (7-12 year olds)
  • young adults with learning difficulties
  • a wide range of acute and chronic conditions within a residential in-patient clinic

Memberships

I am an Associate member of the AATA (Association of Anthroposophic Therapeutic Arts) [aata-uk.org] and have membership of the PVG scheme (Disclosure Scotland).
